Carrollton Animal Hospital

Carrollton Animal Hospital
was opened in 1972 to provide veterinary medicine to the residents of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Lewisville, and the North Dallas area. The hospital is owned by Dr. Michael W. McGuire and offers medicine and surgery for dogs, cats, and small exotic pets. We are a full service veterinary hospital offering on-site medicine and surgical procedures along with in-house laboratory and x-ray capabilities.

The staff of Carrollton Animal Hospital is dedicated to improving the well being of pets and their families. We recognize that each pet has individual needs and we are committed to fulfilling them. We treat our own personal pets as members of our family and will extend the same compassion and concern to your pets, while in our care. We provide quality medicine and service for all stages of your pet's life. Our motto is better health for your pet through preventive medicine and client education.

We are looking for homes for the following four legged furry friends!  Each one has a different story of how they have ended up at our Veterinary clinic.  We are asking that you pass these stories and photos along to those you know by word of mouth and even on your email list, even if you don’t think they are looking for a new addition to their family they still may be able to pass on the photos to someone on their list who is.  To adopt one of the pups please contact us at Carrollton Animal Hospital 972-242-7606 or ndelise97@hotmail.com.

If you would like to read about other rescues we have done please visit our adopted page or click on the individual stories listed by name here on our web site.  The way that we are able to save these and other animals is by donations and adoptions that go back into our Vincent Rescue Fund, if you would like donate please click on the Paypal button or you can call the clinic at 972-242-7606.

"The Irving Seven from Fritz park!' Well, "things looked bleak for these pups but there was a hero in the park.  A city employee who was looking out for them, his angel.  This man who managed to wrangle the dogs together and hold them until we were able to get there to pick them up and give them a beginning with the help of local rescue groups and a lot of work!  By the afternoon, the seven dogs, Mom and three boys and three girls (wearing numbers on their collars for now) - were romping in the kennel run and enjoying good health.

Against great odds, these dumped dogs appear to have been well cared for before they were dumped.  Speaking of miracles, not one of these North Texas dogs is heartworm positive.  How's that for beating the odds?  Mom is young and the puppies appear to be about 3 months old.  They weigh in at 25 to 30 rambunctious pounds!  We took them in because other rescue groups are kind of overwhelmed right now and they needed help right away.

What we need right now is homes for these puppies and mama is good adoptive homes or fosters for these guys especially with Labor Day coming up this weekend!  We have done flea treatment, fecals, deworming, the first round of vacinations and will spay or neuter them in the adoption fee.  Anyone who would like to make donations to help with the rescue of "the Irving 7" is welcome to contact us, of course what we would really love is homes!

We have kittens and cats for adoption!  We have picked up some kitties from the local animal shelters when the pets were going to be put to sleep and have now made them available for adoption.  Dr. McGuire has tested each kitten for Felv/ FIV, done an intestinal parasite check, done vaccinations and each has been spayed or neutered.  We have done the FVRCP, Rabies and FELV vaccinations for the kittens next year or first year of life.  There are many colors, genders and personalities so please call or come by to meet them.  The kittens have an adoption fee of $100 go to the next pet we get to save.

The way Dr. McGuire and the staff at Carrollton Animal Hospital are able to help these pets and so many others that come through our doors is through a rescue fund that we have set up here at the clinic called the “Vincent Rescue Fund”.  We try to collect funds in a few different ways with donations being one of the largest.  Please read about Vincent as well as Blue, Milo and some of the other pets that we have cared for with these funds. It is because of special animals like these that we started to become so big in rescuing animals and working with rescue groups. If you would like to donate you can do so through Paypals or by sending in a donation to the clinic.
